Course Rules 
We expect and hope that all students attending AHISS will have a fantastic time and will show respect at all times to fellow students and members of AHISS staff.

The course rules outlined below are designed to ensure that all the
students and staff of AHISS are able to enjoy their experience free from any unpleasant, intimidating or aggressive behaviour and in safety.

However, any student who breaks the course rules, breaks the law or displays aggressive, intimidating or racist behaviour towards another student or member of staff may face instant dismissal from the course and will return home at the expense of their parent/guardian.

1.
Students are expected to attend and be on time for all meals, classes, activities and excursions.
2.
Students are responsible for keeping their rooms tidy and for making their own beds.
3.
All damage to property, equipment and rooms will be charged to the parent/guardian of the student.
4.
Gratuitous or willful damage to school property, public property or other students’ property will result in dismissal from the course.
5.
Consumption or possession of alcohol, drugs or cigarettes by students of any age is not permitted and will result in instant dismissal from the course without refund and repatriation at their own expense.
6.
Racist or intimidating behaviour towards another student or member of staff will result in dismissal from the course.
7.
Outwith organised activities, girls and boys may only mix in the designated supervised recreation areas.
8.
Students must not enter the dorms of other students.
9.
Any student who leaves their dorm after lights out without permission may be dismissed from the course.
10.
All personal mobile phones and electronic devices (iPods, PSPs, Nintendo DS etc.) must be turned off during all lessons and scheduled activities.
11.
It is forbidden for students to possess or purchase any item/weapon that is deemed to be a danger to themselves or others. These include knives, fireworks or any other flammable items such as candles.

Dismissal from AHISS
We reserve the right to dismiss any student found in breach of AHISS Course Rules. Should a student violate any of these rules, AHISS has the right to dismiss or exclude the student from the course and, in extreme cases, repatriate that student at the parent/guardian’s expense, in any case, without refund of the course fee.
